Elam's baby blessing!

Our dear Father in Heaven, we come before Thee this Sabbath day and hold this precious infant in our arms and give Thee thanks for his safe arrival and safe birth and delivery and for blessing Tiffany, his mother, through that process and we bring him before Thee now to give him a name and a blessing and the name that we have felt inspired of Thee to give him is Elam Jared Feller. And Elam at this time we are overwhelmed with gratitude to have you in our lives and we love you and want you to know that you have a sacred name and a sacred calling in this life and a sacred mission to fulfill. We bless you to know of this and bless you to seek diligently to understand the mission you have and understand the calling you have in life and promise you that as you seek to understand this God will reveal to you those things that you should do. We bless you, Elam, to know of the love that we (as your parents?) have for you and hope that you will feel that love throughout your life as a baby, as a boy, as a young man, and throughout your life and that you will reciprocate that love in return. We bless you to know of the love that you have of Heavenly Parents, to know that God loves you and misses you and is grateful for all the righteous decisions that you have made that have enabled you to be here in this life and have this beautiful  body and promise you, Elam, a fullness of joy through these choices that you’ve made and confidence going forward that you may continue to make wise choices throughout your life. We bless you to know of the love your Heavenly Mother has for you and to know of Her presence and feel of her presence and guidance throughout your life that She will be close to you and guide you and protect you …. As well. Elam, we bless you for a love and respect for your earthly mother and your Heavenly Mother and that you will understand the sacredness of womanhood and women and that you will always appreciate the sacrifices of you mother to bring you here and the love that she has for you. We bless you, Elam, to be able to have the gift of discernment … the world that you’ve been born into, a world of beauty but also a world of wickedness. We bless you that you will be able to discern the beautiful and the holy in this world and that you will be able to discern evil and wickedness and filth and be able to avoid evil and choose righteousness. We pray that.. we bless you that you will be able to acknowledge and see the love that your mother and I have for one another and seek to find that throughout your life and to find your eternal companion to be able to love and to continue this eternal round. Elam you were born of good heritage and good parents and pioneers who have sacrificed much to have you here at this place and at this time and bless you to know of their sacrifices and bless you to remember their sacrifices and bless you to acknowledge the weaknesses of your family and friends and to be able to not make the same mistakes of those before you but to learn from those mistakes and to be stronger and beter than those that went before you. We bless your mind and your body that they will be strong and active and that you will be able to learn and progress and be able to study and learn from the scriptures and ………………… we bless you with these things, Elam, guided and directed to fulfill your mission in life. We seal this blessing upon your head in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

David Stern and President Snow

I love reading. I love sports. And sometimes I come up with these analogies and I want to share them with someone!

David Stern, Commissioner for the NBA, is eerily similar to President Snow, the demonic tyrant in Hunger Games.

Not physcially, but politcially, socially, etc.

Does anyone else know these two people and do you see the connection???

Squishy Insides Revisited

I wrote this post over a year ago. Jared's sister Heather had a surgery and now she's afraid of her insides falling out of her belly button. I've always had that worry.

From 4 February 2011 (I couldn't link to the post! So I just copied it)

Have you ever feared that your belly button (that fragile portal to the inside of your body when you were a baby) would accidentally burst open and all your insides would fall out?

Well, I have.

Which makes this text from Jared all the more wonderful.

"I love you with all my heart and soul and mind and squishy insides that are ready to burst out of my belly button!!! I'm so happy and excited for us!!!"

I love you, too, Jared.
